Not only that but it was our first time back in church as a family in a really long time.
We didn't even make it for Easter or Christmas this year.
It was VBS Sunday so the service was like a re-cap of the week. All the kids were scattered throughout the sanctuary, sitting with their families and would holler out during parts of the songs and whenever the leaders would say certain phrases.
Honestly I had a hard time. I enjoyed watching Naissa dance in the aisle but was quickly annoyed when one of the girls wearing a "staff" shirt came and stood in front of us...to try to get a couple of boys to do the moves to the song...and she blocked the entire view for Naissa and Isaac and even myself. She pushed their chairs back close to our feet totally oblivious to the fact that Naissa was trying to watch the leaders and do the moves too! Dang, I got ticked and had to breath in and out slowly because I wanted to holler! I wanted to push her over the balcony.
Anyway, my parents watched the kids while Jim and I went to lunch. They even treated! After lunch we came back to the house, because I wasn't in the mood to sit through a movie, and I fell asleep! I had a nice nap and Jim dozed off too. Next thing we know it's time to go get the kids.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
